Hosted buyers combined business with pleasure

Food traders included in the FOOD EXPO Hosted Buyer program took advantage of their visit to the trade show to do business and, at the same time, enjoy some downtime and discover the real Greece. Specifically, 35 international visitors took a sightseeing tour of Athens, while another 115 buyers experienced the historic sights and culinary treasures of three of the most picturesque Greek islands with a day tour to the Saronic Gulf.

International food traders included in FOOD EXPO’s Hosted Buyer program took advantage of their visit to the trade show to do business with suppliers from Greece and 75 countries and, at the same time, enjoy some downtime to discover Athens and its surroundings. Specifically, 35 international visitors took a sightseeing tour of Athens, while another 115 buyers experienced the beauty, historic sights and culinary treasures of three of the most picturesque Greek islands with a day tour to the Saronic Gulf.

Discovering the real Greece
For the third year in a row, FOOD EXPO 2018 buyers seized the opportunity to combine the most exciting trade show in Southeast Europe with a short break to experience for themselves genuine Greek hospitality. Hosted buyers from all across the world got to have an authentic Greek adventure for a day; they had the chance to choose between a short tour of Athens (visit the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum) and a day cruise to the islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina, in order to explore some of the legendary archaeological sites, the delicious Greek gastronomy and the warmth of the locals.
